An inspection of the pictured bridge near Aberdare Railway Station, off the Ynys Roundabout, will take place next week – requiring minimal traffic management on the nearby A4059.
The bridge at Abernant Road will undergo a principal inspection from Tuesday to Friday (April 7-10) and will be accessed from the watercourse beneath, using a pontoon.
Please note that these works are subject to fair weather and could be postponed at short notice if heavy rainfall is forecast.
Appointed contractor Edwards Diving Services will require a partial closure of the left turn lane on the A4059 (pictured right) for its site compound.
While the dedicated turn lane will be closed, please be aware that motorists will still be able to turn left at Ynys Roundabout in the direction of Abernant/Robertstown.
All usual pedestrian accesses, including to and from Aberdare Railway Station, will also be maintained.
