Reform UK has announced that Jason O’Connell will stand as the party’s lead candidate for the Pontypridd Cynon Merthyr constituency at the 2026 Senedd election.
O’Connell, who currently serves as a councillor for the Llantarnam ward in Torfaen, has become a prominent figure within the party in Wales.
Reform UK says his campaign will focus on delivering change for communities across Pontypridd, Cynon and Merthyr.
