Labour’s investment summit launched today in an attempt to attract investment to Wales has been criticised by the Welsh Conservatives, who argue that the Welsh Labour Government’s own policies are stifling growth and holding Wales back.

Commenting, Welsh Conservative Shadow Cabinet Secretary for the Economy, Samuel Kurtz MS , said:

“This summit is nothing more than a panic exercise by a Labour Government compensating for their ill-thought-out economic policies that are stifling economic productivity.

“Only the Welsh Conservatives have a credible plan to kick start Wales’ economy by eliminating small business rates, scrapping Stamp Duty and cutting income tax.”
