Residents are advised about a local scheme in Aberaman which gets underway next week to repair a damaged wall off the A4059 – with no anticipated disruption to this main route.
The wall is located between the A4059 and Glancynon Terrace, and the repair scheme will take place from Monday, November 17.
Work will include removing intrusive vegetation, rebuilding a small section of defective masonry, and repointing areas of the structure.
The Council has appointed Hammond ECS Ltd to deliver the work on site, which is expected to last around three weeks.
The contractor will require a small narrowing of the highway at Glancynon Terrace, as a temporary measure to safely complete the work. However, all local accesses and parking arrangements are expected to be unaffected, while the work will not affect the A4059 in any way.
These repair works will be delivered using Council revenue funding.
