Multiply Awards Honour Outstanding Achievements in Caerphilly

The Multiply Awards ceremony took place at Bryn Meadows on Thursday 20th March, celebrating the exceptional accomplishments of individuals, groups, and schools within the Caerphilly County Borough. The awards recognised dedication, creativity, and significant improvements in the realm of adult and family learning.

The Multiply initiative, supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), offers free courses to adults over 19, aiming to enhance numeracy skills for daily life and employment opportunities.

Multiply Award Winners 2025:

Creativity Award – Lita Jones

Recognising exceptional creativity in learning approaches or projects, showcasing innovative thinking and originality.

Perseverance Award – Natasha Deane

Honouring outstanding determination and resilience in overcoming challenges to achieve educational goals.

Outstanding Improvement Award – Megan Tiernan

Celebrating significant progress in studies, reflecting dedication and hard work.

Group of the Year Award – Oxford House Pre-GCSE Class

Acknowledging excellence in collaborative learning, displaying teamwork, mutual support, and collective achievement.

Councillor Carol Andrews, Cabinet Member for Education and Communities, commented:

“The Multiply Awards highlight the transformative power of education in our community. Each recipient exemplifies the dedication and resilience that drive personal and collective growth. We are immensely proud of their achievements and the positive impact they have on Caerphilly.”

The Mayor of Caerphilly, Julian Simmonds, who presented the awards, added:
