Join us in turning Cwm Taf Pink for the day!

In two weeks time, on 14th October volunteers from the ‘Giving to Pink’ fund raising group will be out in the community raising funds for a ‘specialist breast care unit’ within Cwm Taf University Health Board.
The group of volunteers with the help of local businesses and the community have already raised £150,000 with a hope to raise the figure to £250,000 by the end of this year.

Claire Smart founder of Giving to Pink said: “Based on a smaller scale with the principle of ‘Comic relief’ and ‘Children in need’ we want to raise awareness of Giving to Pink and raise money by encouraging the whole community to either wear something pink or make a pink gesture on Friday the 14th October.

“It’s not too late to get involved.  We already have local schools, leisure centres, councils, housing associations, local businesses and many more people on board and are still working to encourage others. Our team is actively out in the community encouraging people to support the day.

“There will be lots of events, crafts and cake sales happening on the day – people can take part or just donate if they wish, but if anyone wants to help raise funds, get in touch, the more the merrier. Let’s really turn Cwm Taf Pink”.
