Were you at The Pickled Pepper pub in Aberdare on the evening of Sunday 14th June? Did you see an altercation between two men around 11pm?

Officers in Merthyr are investigating after a 38 year old man sustained facial injuries as a result of the incident at the pub on Commercial Street. The victim required hospital treatment at Prince Charles Hospital for his injuries.

The incident happened at around 11.50pm whilst the pub was still busy.

Police Constable Lynne Jones said: “Were you in the pub between 11.30pm and midnight on Sunday 14th June? Did you see two men involved in an altercation? We would like to hear from anyone who has information which could help with this investigation.

“Investigations are ongoing, however we are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the man in the CCTV imagery, who has distinctive tattoos on both arms. The left arm appears to have a full sleeve tattoo with the right arm having a tattoo on the inside of the arm.

“We believe he was wearing a short sleeved Boss t-shirt with the word Boss in large lettering on the front and a pair of shorts which had Boss running down the left hand side of the shorts.”
