Where is our MP?!?!?!

I have lived and loved living in Aberdare for 50+ years! In all the years I can remember only a Labour MP for the area. I do not know much of politics but wonder why, in all the years of a labour MP, have our fortunes still remained so low! Labour and Conservative governments have changed at Westminster and in Cardiff we have a devolved Labour parliament, yet still Aberdare misses out! Merthyr strides ahead with huge retail outlets, Rhondda with factories! Pontypridd is wonderful compared with how it used to be! Where is our MP to fight for Aberdare? Why do we still vote for someone who is patently not interested in furthering our cause?
