Were you at Brecon Mountain Railway during half term? Did you see Maldwyn Miles?
The 67-year-old hasn’t been seen since February 22 where he was sighted near the Brecon Mountain Railway at Pant at about 2:30pm. We know he got the bus to Merthyr the day before but his bus pass hasn’t been used since, although he had some money on him so may have used this to travel further.
His daughter Rebecca said: “You are not in trouble, there is no need to be scared to come home. If you do not want to come home please just let someone know you are safe. Dad, please let us know you’re ok.”
Supt Ceri Hughes said: “We are extremely concerned for Maldwyn, he is an elderly gentleman and we do not know if he managed to find shelter during the terrible snow and freezing temperatures we have had.
“Although South Wales Police and Mountain Rescue searches have been undertaken and will resume following the bad weather, we are asking people, particularly in the Pant area to help us by checking their sheds and garages.
“Also if you visited the Brecon Mountain Railway Thursday or Friday during half term and think you may have seen him please do call us – you will not be wasting our time, Maldwyn’s disappearance is causing great distress to his family and we really do need your help to try and find him.”
He was last seen wearing a yellow high vis jacket, beige trousers, navy slip on shoes and is described as being 5ft 7ins and of slim build.
Anyone who may have seen him please contact us on 101 quoting occurrence 1800066330. Please keep sharing our appeals – thank you
