Many of you reading this will remember the exceptional scenes we saw across Wales in February 2020 as the nation was hit by three named storms in the space of four weeks.

FREE parking in Aberdare and Pontypridd up until December 31

The Council has today announced that car park charges in Aberdare and Pontypridd town centres will be FREE after 10am each day from this Saturday morning (October 24) – for the remainder of 2020.

Maerdy Mountain Road drainage work requires half term closure from Saturday, October 24, to Sunday, November 1

The Council will implement a full closure of Maerdy Mountain Road to carry out significant drainage work as a result of Storm Dennis – scheduled for the school holiday and ‘firebreak’ lockdown period to minimise disruption.
