TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES) NOTICE 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council propose to make various Orders under Sections 1, 2, 4, 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to:
1. Introduce a 20mph speed limit on the streets identified in Schedule 1
2. Introduce No Stopping on ‘School Keep Clear Markings’ Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm on the sections of roads specified in Schedule 2
3. Introduce Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time on the sections of roads specified in Schedule 3
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council propose under Sections 90A, 90C and 90G of the Highways Act 1980, the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 and the Highways (Traffic Calming) Regulations 1999 and all enabling powers, to implement the following:
4. Full width flat top hump (minimum height of 25mm and maximum height of 100mm), to be provided at, or within the vicinity of the locations specified in Schedule 4
5. Flat top road humps (with open channels) (minimum height of 25mm and maximum height of 100mm), to be provided at, or within the vicinity of the locations specified in Schedule 5
A copy of the relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the Principal Offices of the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council, The Pavilions, Cambrian Park, Clydach Vale, Tonypandy, CF40 2XX and Aberdare Library, Green Street, Aberdare, CF44 7AG until 12th June 2018
Objections to the proposal together with the grounds on which they are made must be sent in writing to the Traffic Manager, Sardis House, Sardis Road, Pontypridd, CF37 1DU by 12th June 2018
SCHEDULE 1 – 20mph Speed Limit
a. Glanaman Road, from a point outside the common boundary of No. 118 / 119 Glanaman Road, south westwards to its junction with Glanrhyd Street a distance of 455 metres
b. Glanrhyd Street from its junction with Glanaman Road, south westwards for a distance of 14 metres
c. The unnamed lane between No. 45 and 49 Glanaman Road, from its junction with Glanaman Road northwards for a distance of 22 metres
d. The unnamed lane between No. 81 and 82 Glanaman Road, from its junction with Glanaman Road, northwards for a distance of 11 metres
SCHEDULE 2 – No Stopping on ‘School Keep Clear’ Markings Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
a. The southern side of Glanaman Road, from a point opposite the common boundary of No. 57 and 58 Glanaman Road, north eastwards for a distance of 35 metres
b. The southern side of Glanaman Road, from a point 2 metres north east of the south western boundary of No. 74 Glanaman Road, north eastwards for a distance of 38 metres
SCHEDULE 3 – Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time
a. The southern side of Glanaman Road, from a point 35 metres north east of the common boundary of No. 57 and 58 Glanaman Road, north eastwards for a distance of 29 metres.
