Save a Life September 2016
St John launching this year's Save a Life September campaign to raise awareness of the importance of first aid.
We want as many people as possible to get involved to learn simple first aid techniques that could make a real difference to someone's life.
Hundreds of people die each year in situations where first aid could have given them a chance to live. So this year, we'll be giving free first aid sessions throughout September at schools, in communities and businesses across Wales.
The short two hour course includes:
- How to find out if someone has any injuries or conditions which are life threatening
- How to perform CPR
- What to do is someone is choking
- How to treat severe bleeding
- How to put someone in the recovery position
