The Royal Welsh Comrades Association presented St John Baptist Church in Wales High School with a plaque.

Present were:

Mr Gwyn Davies – Chairman, Royal Welsh Comrades Association

Eric Davies – Vice-Chairman, Royal Welsh Comrades Association

David Butler and Emrys Moore – Fought in Korean War

John Williams – Served in Germany

Father Robert Davies – Chaplain, Royal Welsh Comrades Association (Aberdare Branch)

Dr S M Mitchell – Headteacher

Mr Gwyn Davies gave the following speech:

"Good morning.

For the last two years, on 11th November, St John Baptist Church in Wales High School has invited us Veterans back to your school for a Veteran's Tea Party.

In appreciation, and to bond our friendship, on behalf of Aberdare Branch, the Royal Welsh Comrades Association it gives us great pleasure to present the school with a regimental plaque."
