Order will be to temporarily prohibit any person to proceed along Hopkinstown Footbridge pontypridd

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council have made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.

 

The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit any person to proceed along Hopkinstown Footbridge

 

It is expected to be operative from 10th November 2017 for a period of 12 weeks or until such time as the works are completed.

 

The works are weather dependent and may be delayed, advanced signage will be erected on site prior to the commencement of the closure.

 

The restriction is necessary to enable works to be carried out on the footbridge

 

The alternative route for pedestrians is as follows:

 

From the eastern side of the closure, proceed via A4058 Hopkinstown Road, Ford Road and the lower path between Maesycoed and Barry Sidings to the western side of the closure.

 

From the western side of the closure, reverse the directions given above.
