New visiting policy for Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB
Please note that you must not visit if you are feeling unwell, especially if you have a high temperature or new persistent cough.
We have free Wifi across our sites and family and friends of patients are encouraged to keep in contact during this difficult time using online technology.
Director of Nursing, Midwifery and Patient Care, Greg Dix, said: “As the Health Board responds to COVID-19 there will be a significant surge in demand for our health services over the coming weeks.
“Given the seriousness of the current situation and UK Government advice we have taken the responsible and proactive decision to stop visiting to our sites. We are asking the public to support us and reduce the spread of the virus by following this policy and hope they understand why we are taking this step.
“We know that this is an extremely difficult time and how important is for patients to retain contact with their loved ones. To enable this we do offer`free WiFi throughout our hospitals. For those with access to smartphones or tablets, we would encourage virtual visiting as a great way of staying in touch with loved ones.
“We are very grateful for your understanding and thank everyone for their support.”
