(PEDESTRIAN CROSSING) NOTICE 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council in exercise of their powers under Section 1, 2 and 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“1984 Act”), Sections 90A, 90C and 90G of the Highways Act 1980 (“the 1980 Act”), the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 and the Highways (Traffic Calming) Regulations 1999 and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Section 23(2)(a) of the 1984 Act and having notified the Welsh Government in writing, proposes the following: –
1. Vary the “Mid Glamorgan County Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1967 Section 21 – Pedestrian Crossings” by the removal of item 3/Z25 from Borough of Cynon Valley (District 3) (b) Zebra Crossings
2. Introduce a Zebra Controlled Pedestrian Crossing on a raised plateau (7500mm wide and no higher than 100mm in height) on the b4275 Park View at a point 13 metres north-west of its junction with Cromer Street.
A copy of the relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the Principal Offices of the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council, The Pavilions, Cambrian Park, Clydach Vale, Tonypandy, CF40 2XX and Mountain Ash Library, Knight Street, Mountain Ash, CF45 3EY until 27th July 2018
Objections to the proposal together with the grounds on which they are made must be sent in writing to the Traffic Manager, Sardis House, Sardis Road, Pontypridd, CF37 1DU by 27th July 2018
