A man from Beddau has been jailed for five years and seven months for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.

Andrew Evans, 35, of St Michaels Close, was arrested on Tuesday 14 December, 2021. Following a search of his vehicle and hotel room, officers recovered 17 grams of cocaine, a quantity of cannabis and a quantity of cash.

He was sentenced to five years and seven months in prison at Cardiff Crown Court on Wednesday 16 February, 2022.

Detective Sergeant Lia Jones said: “Evans is another drug dealer off the streets which is only a good thing. Drugs come hand in hand with other violent crimes and bring misery upon users and their families.

“Rest assured we’re already looking at how Evans may have profited from selling drugs and we will be seizing any of his ill-gotten gains.

“He’s now got plenty of time to reflect on what he’s done in prison, and I hope what has happened was quite literally the wake-up call that he needs in order to change his ways.”
