(40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council have made an Order under Sections 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which will be to:
1. Prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to travel at a speed in excess of 40mph on the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
The Order will come into operation on 26th January 2018
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it had not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from 26th January 2018 apply to the High Court for this purpose
SCHEDULE
40mph Speed Limit – A4233 Maerdy Mountain Road
a. From a point 50 metres north of the Unnamed Road leading to factory (Station Road) , in a generally northern direction to a point 100 metres north east of the Carn Eiddil Car Park Entrance, a distance of 1420 metres
b. From a point 68 metres south west of the southern boundary of No. 14 Graig Place, Aberdare in a general south western direction to a point 385 metres north east of the lay-by (located south west of Graig Rhiwmynach), a distance of 1930 metres.
