Local Police Community Support Officer at Gelli Primary School in Ystrad
Gelli Primary School in Ystrad, Pentre, recently invited their local Police Community Support Officer, and officers from our Roads Policing Unit, to the school to teach the children about road safety.
Our officers brought along a speed camera to demonstrate how this worked, and the children then used it to see the speeds of the cars on the road.
Officers then walked with the children that took part in the Walking Bus and taught them the safe way to cross zebra crossings.
The children also learnt how all road users should use the roads safely.
