(VARIATION AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council have made an Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to
1. Vary the Traffic Regulation Orders specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice
2. Prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to wait at any time on the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice
3. Prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to wait, Monday to Friday inclusive, on the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 3 tot his Notice
The Order will come into operation on 13th May 2017
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it had not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from 13th May 2017 apply to the High Court for this purpose
S CHEDULE 1 – Variation
a. The “Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and On Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2012” shall be varied so that the Order referred to in the Schedule of Orders as ‘Mid Glamorgan County Borough Council (Bridge Road, Cwmbach, Aberdare) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1985’ shall be removed in its entirety.
b. The “Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council (Various Streets in Rhondda Cynon Taff) Review of Existing Traffic Regulation Orders 2012” shall be varied in the items 16 (i), (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) from Part 2 – Variations of Schedule 2 – Cynon shall be removed in its entirety.
SCHEDULE 2 – Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time
1. Bridge Road – West side
a. From a point opposite its eastern junction with Blaen-Nanty-Groes Road in a general southwards direction to the southern boundary of No 6 Bridge Road, a distance of 155 metres
b. From the north eastern boundary of No 2 Greenhill Cottages eastwards to a point opposite the common boundary of No’s 35 and 36 Bridge Road, a distance of 24 metres
c. From the southern building line of property Gladstone Villa southwards to a point opposite its north western junction with Bryn Glas, a distance of 72 metres
d. From the common boundary of No’s 1 and 2 Bridge Road northwards then eastwards to the western building line of No 5 Bridge Road, a distance of 88 metres
East side
a. From the common boundary of No’s 37 and 38 Bridge Road in a general north eastern direction to its junction with Bryn Glas, a distance of 100 metres
b. From the common boundary of No’s 35 and 36 Bridge Road in a general south western direction for a distance of 58 metres
2. Bryn Awelon – Both sides
a. From its junction with Maeshyfryd eastwards for a distance of 10 metres
3. Bryngolwg – Both sides
a. From its junction with Maeshyfryd eastwards for a distance of 10 metres
4. Maeshyfryd – Both sides
a. From its junction with Bro Deg (northern arm) north eastwards for a distance of 10 metres
b. From its junction with Bro Deg (southern arm) south eastwards for a distance of 10 metres
c. From a point outside and opposite the southern boundary of No 27 Maeshyfryd south eastwards to the common boundary of No’s 37 and 38 Maeshyfryd a distance of 18 metres
East side
a. From a point 10 metres south of its junction with Bryn Awelon northwards for a distance of 25
metres
b. From a point 10 metres south of its junction with Bryngolwg northwards for a distance of 25 metres
5. Tirfounder Road – North east side
a. From its junction with Bro Deg south eastwards for a distance of 25 metres
b. From its junction with Bro Deg north westwards for a distance of 8 metres
6. South West side
a. From its junction with Bro Deg south eastwards for a distance of 21 metres
b. From its junction with Bro Deg north westwards for a distance of 20 metres
SCHEDULE 3 – Prohibition of Waiting Monday to Saturday
Bridge Road – East side
a. From its junction with Bryn Glas northwards for a distance of 52 metres
