Cwm Taff Nurses brews up for launch of Blooming Great Tea Party

Staff from the Cwm Taff Health Board and Marie Curie Nurses is pictured enjoying a spot of tea and cake to encourage local residents to get behind Marie Curie’s summer fundraising campaign. The Blooming Great Tea Party was held on Wednesday afternoon at the Community Health Offices in Church Village. Staff donated generously raising £57.62 for Marie Curie.

The Blooming Great Tea Party encourages everyone to get together with friends and family to hold a tea party between 20-29 June. Tea parties across the UK have raised over £4.5 million since the campaign started in 2008. The funds raised from Blooming Great Tea Party will help Marie Curie Nurses care for more people living with a terminal illness in their own homes in Rhondda Cynon Taff.

Rhian Evans, Clincial Nurse Manager for South East Wales said: “Whether you’re an aspiring Mary Berry or prefer to let someone else do the baking, getting together with friends and family to hold a Blooming Great Tea Party is a fun and easy way to support your local Marie Curie Nurses.”
