Council dragging its feet at Coed Dyffryn Cwmbach?
We understand Tirfounder development known as Coed. Dyffryn Cwmbach built by Persimmon Homes is still waiting for the roads to be made up and adopted by Rhondda Cynon Taf Council.
We have been informed that a play area also hasn’t been build the play area was part of the development, speaking to someone who works for Persimmon he informs us that it is common for Persimmon not to install the play area on their sites is this true we don’t know.
So where is the local council in all of this why is the council allowing the developer to getaway with it, the 106 agreement a legal document, Section 106 Agreements are legal agreements between Local Authorities and developers; these are linked to planning permissions and can also be known as planning obligations.
Section 106 agreements are drafted when it is considered that a development will have significant impacts on the local area that cannot be moderated by means of conditions attached to a planning decision.
I understand the local Labour councilor lives within the development site so is he challenging and lobbing his mates in the council to get the site completed doesn’t seem so?
As usual with developers it’s the tail wagging the dog, speaking to the contracts manager sometime ago he said Persimmon were waiting for a new Asda entrance to be constructed before completing but it seems to be going on for ever. Anyone would think the residents don’t pay the excessive council tax if the council is dragging its feet getting the developer to complete.
