Aberdare businesses urged to ‘think apprentice’ to aid expansion in 2017

BUSINESSES based in Aberdare and the Valleys with plans for further growth in 2017 are being encouraged to ‘think apprentice’ as they look towards the coming year and beyond.

As the Open Spaces Society local correspondent, I went to look at a footpath in Tyntetown, north of Abercynon. Rhondda Cynon Taf CBC is considering extinguishing the path which seems to have been ignored when the Bryntirion estate was built over half a century ago.

Cwmbach Car dealers prosecuted

The managers of a company that sold a car to an Aberdare woman that was repossessed from  her because it had outstanding finance on it, have been prosecuted by Rhondda Cynon Taf Council.

A 19 year-old male was arrested minutes after the report of an unprovoked assault on two 15 year-old boys in ASDA car park, Aberdare, last night. After an emergency call, a police officer managed to find the suspect, drunk, in a nearby street. He was taken into custody. Enquiries are ongoing.

Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team Called out to Dare Valley

Beacons Mountain Rescue Team were called out on Tuesday evening by South Wales Police asking us to assist in finding a lost male in the Aberdare area. At the same time our base was full of individuals who have shown an interest in joining the team.
