Body found in block of flats at Trem-Y-Cwm, Beddau.
South Wales Police can confirm that they have recovered a body concealed in plastic wrapping from the grounds of a block of flats at Trem-Y-Cwm, Beddau.
Officers are currently trying to identify the male body and to determine the time and cause of death.
Detective Superintendent Paul Hurley said: “A priority for us is to identify whose body it is and to find out how he died.
“We would appeal for anyone who has concerns for the welfare of a male friend, relative or neighbour who has, uncharacteristically, not been seen or heard from in a number of weeks to get in touch with us.”
A Home Office Post Mortem examination will be carried out today to try to establish the cause of death.
