We are a local walking group of the Ramblers Association. Although based in the Cynon Valley, our group members are also drawn from many of the towns and villages of the surrounding valleys. Our location, on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, allows us easy access to fantastic walking opportunities. While the Black Mountains, the Usk and Wye Valleys and the Gower are all within easy travelling distance.

Mountain Ash and District Choral Society is one of the oldest mixed choirs in South Wales with its roots dating back to 1964. As the name suggests, although based in Mountain Ash, we draw members from as far afield as Cardiff, Merthyr and Glynneath. Rehearsals are held every Wednesday evening (during school term time) in Bethania chapel vestry in Phillip Street, Mountain Ash. Although we currently number more than 70 members, we’re actively seeking new members, particularly tenor and bass voices.
