April 22nd or 23rd, and I believe in 1965. We had a blizard. I was going to an important function and had to cancel. It cleared quickly but stayed long enough to close the Glyn Neath bank for two days, an important road at the time.
I can also remeber a light snowfall in June either a few years before or after 1965. The day I know was same day as Aberdare road races, not a blizard that time but enough to end the life of many runner beans that were climbing well. Ask any old gardener about this fall had us all in tears and is still talked about.
