Although this is a development in Pontypridd I think it's relevant to all our valley towns.
Ponty at the moment is having a Sainsburys built on old Brown Lennox site and I was wondering if they will be using solar panels on the huge area of roof space, maybe windmills in the car park and/or on roof and what the building will look like.
Surely a council (RCT) should be insisting that any developer who comes to our towns uses the latest technology, employs green policies and where possible uses local, sustainable materials.

Cant put windmills on
Cant put windmills on sainsbury site as its low in valley and wind would not turn it suitable enough to generate enough electric. Solar pannels would be a good idea but how much electric could the whole site use and is it in the correct orientation to be suitable??#
