Nursery schoolchildren were given top tips on road safety thanks to Rhondda Cynon Taf Council.
Officers from the Council’s Road Safety Team visited Cylch Meithrin Pentre Eglwys in Church Village to help the two toddlers learn more about how to stay safe near the roads.
At the request of teacher Christina Hughes the children were given a short educational session on how to cross the road.
They were kitted out with high-visual jackets and were shown how to cross a road using a pedestrian crossing and also without.
With plenty of encouragement to “look right and left” and listen for traffic, the children enjoyed the safety guidance from the Council team.
The Council’s Cabinet Member for Transport and Customer Care Cllr Andrew Morgan said: “Road safety is of paramount importance to children of all ages and the younger they are educated of such potential hazards the better.
“As a local authority we endeavour to provide Road Safety lessons on a regular basis in all of our schools in an effort to reduce accidents to pedestrians – particularly children – throughout the county borough.”
