Llwydcoed seems to be the preferred dumping ground in Cynon Valley or should that be Rhondda Cynon Taf and beyond.
The new proposed opencast mine assume will go ahead although local community has launched an action group to fight plans to build an opencast mine.
Once again what will the planners and development control at RCTC do? Do they turn a blind eye and not think of the views of local residents? It has happened in the past
Can you get away with planning blight in Llwydcoed?
Has this application N0: 07/2220 - erection of new
Agricultural buildings (1,890 sqm) vehicular access and associated engineering works (amended plans received 23/10/08), Bryncarnau farm, Llwydcoed, Aberdare been started?
Cynon area Development Control Committee granted approval on 30 April 2009, thousands of tons of spoil dumped (photograph shows posted on the website May 21 2008 http://www.aberdareonline.co.uk/content/despoiling-cynon-valley-profit-0 )to construct “The sheep housing is capable of accommodating 560 ewes”
Lots of spoil dumped in Llwydcoed but who cares not development control at RCTC as for conditions etc don’t believe what you read in planning documents
I think this is one of the conditions for the above
“Head of Terms
• That the applicant undertakes to fully implement the approved works within 3 years of the commencement of development.
• In the event that the applicant has not fully implemented the approved works within the time period specified above, that the applicant undertakes to remove all of the development carried out on the land and to restore the land to its former condition.”
Was the erection of agricultural building completed in the time scale?
Is the site a permanent dumping ground?
Were all conditions of the approval carried out?
The above was only a small enterprise what will happen the new proposed opencast mine?
I leave that up to the action group.
