Help for PC Novice

I have a relative who wishes to buy a laptop but knows absolutely nothing about them. She wants to be able to buy a laptop which she can simply switch on and practise some basic skills.
As I do not live in RCT I cannot advise her where to go to buy a ready-to-use laptop. Can anyone advise me where she can buy such a laptop with essential beginner software already installed eg. Windows operating system, Office, say.

chainey I was going to sat computershack too.... But i never go to the Market I go to the main office in the venture wales building by Tesco as toy can have a good look at what they have got there.... In the past I have needed my old computer fixed and went there a few times, they were great and fixed the problem straight away for a small fee.... while I was there I saw the laptops that they had done and they all looked great and very cheap.
