Well I thought I would be the first to post in here and ask the first question. The forums at present show the most popular post first, which is different from AberdareOnline's original forum. What's the general consensus? Is most popular preferred or should we return to date ordering?

can you do it that the most

can you do it that the most recent post is at the top??? that makes it easier to read. i'm still getting used to the new site sometimes it tells me when there are new posts and other times it doesnt lol.

I think your right it does

I think your right it does make more sense in date order, so I've swapped it for now. What does everyone else think?

It was a bit of a pain on

It was a bit of a pain on the old site to go to the last page to read the latest comments. Much easier to read if the last comment is up front.

Glad your back !

I agree that date ordering

I agree that date ordering makes much more sense. I think also as jamestitanic suggests that the last comments appear at the top.

I prefer date ordering,

I prefer date ordering, ,though it's solely because i'm used to it

Yes, I think date

Yes, I think date ordering is the way to go as most people would want to read the latest postings. They can always go back to recoup what's been said if they want to.

aww thats nice Bunny!! And

aww thats nice Bunny!!
And bigger print!!

well i think that smilies

well i think that smilies make you more understood. as there are many ways to say the same thing some people read messages and miss understand them.

i could write something which was ment as a joke but you could think iwas being serious but by using smilies i could put a smilie face to show you its a joke. same goes for sad faces, kisses and winks. it might be a good idea so we all understand eachother, that way no more arguments

Well i for one certainly

Well i for one certainly agree with your view.Bring on the smilers!(Please) -:)

I think it would be nice to

I think it would be nice to have some smiles thank you

The system I've started

The system I've started using has a Smilies module in development, so unfortunately we'll have to wait a while and make do with the character equivalents for now.

ear ear Agedlady, I don't now how I wood manige withowt the spill chock

My spelling is terrible ,but

My spelling is terrible ,but does it really matter as we can usually get the gist of what people mean .Don't think anyone will make a fuss if we spell a few words wrong.
The english language is an awful one to learn ,shame we don't just spell words as they sound. My young grandson is learning to read and write and he just cannot get his head around the weird spelling of some words.

just wondering if there was

just wondering if there was a way to be able to send other members private messages just by useing our usernames and without giving our email address??? this could be used if people dont want to give out their email address on the site.

andrew i noticed that when you click on links they just change to new pages. are you able to set them up so they open a new window when we click on pasted links please. after reading whats on the link i click on the X close the windows lol

Yep its possible I've been

Yep its possible I've been playing around with the system I'm using and hoping to adjust a few things and get users to contribute to areas of the website. So over the next few months you'll see a few changes. Its going to take a while, but my full time work has to come first. Any other suggestions feel free to post them here or e-mail me.

Spelling does'nt matter

Spelling does'nt matter just as long as you have the first and last letter of any word in the right place it will be read and understood by everyone, and that's a proven fact.

Cmryo. Tehre You see.
