The weather was not the best feature when Aberdare Chess Club entertained Penarth but the evening proved to be split affairs with the top boards scoring but the lower boards failing to make thier mark David and Steve proved stronger than their opponents while Mike was a little fortuitous in the end to draw  Graham and Jeff had opportunities but failed to capitalize on them
